Help & saved work
A few things to know.
Clear answers, so you can get back to what matters.
Start here
What is Joygi?
Joygi is an interactive reflection experience for the moments in between. Pause with what’s on your mind, notice something that matters, and carry something useful forward.
What is a Companion?
A Companion is your place for short reflections, deeper guided reflection and things you choose to keep. Choose one for the season you’re in.
Who is Joygi for?
Joygi is designed for people 13 and older, including high school and college students. If you’re under 18, use it with a parent or guardian’s permission.
What is The Edit?
A Companion gives you room to process. The Edit is a quick Make Room tool for choosing what gets room in your day, what can wait, and a little space for yourself. Keep one Edit in this browser, or choose exactly what appears on a share card. A shared invitation opens a fresh Edit without your words.
Find your Companion
Which High School Companion is for me?
What Matters Here is for freshmen and sophomores. Where From Here is for juniors and seniors navigating life now and what comes next.
What is the Fall Companion?
The Fall Companion is for college students at any school: classes, people, choices and the moments between them.
Can I use more than one Companion?
Yes. Choose the Companion you want to open. Each keeps its own reflections and return state.
Using a Companion
Do I need to know what to write?
No. Writing is optional. Questions and choices help you begin, and Make and Move offer ways in without words. You can skip or stop instead of forcing an answer.
What are Make and Move?
Make lets you arrange color and shape. Move is a seed field that responds to you. Nothing needs an explanation, and nothing is saved unless you choose Keep. Unkept work is cleared when you choose Done, refresh or leave the page.
Do I have to use it every week?
No. Come back when it feels useful. There are no streaks or penalties for returning later.
How is a short pause different from deeper reflection?
A short pause gives one moment some room. Deeper guided reflection lets you take a wider look. You choose what fits today.
Can I stop and come back?
Yes. Follow the save or pause control and check its confirmation before leaving. Return in the same browser on the same device to find saved work.
What happens when I return?
Your Companion offers a way back to unfinished saved reflection. You can also revisit work in Reflections or choose to begin again.
What are Keepsakes?
Keepsakes are what you deliberately choose to keep: a line from a reflection, a canvas or a still. They stay in this browser on this device.
Access
Are the core Companions free?
Yes. Joygi’s core Companions are free. No purchase required.
Do I need an account?
Create a free account or sign in to open a core Companion.
What does an account do?
Your account provides access. It does not upload or sync private Companion writing.
How do I open my Companion?
Choose Open Companion, sign in if needed, and select your Companion.
How long do I have access?
Core Companion access is free, without a trial countdown. Historical paid Edition rights remain governed by the terms of that purchase.
What if I’m under 18?
Joygi is for ages 13 and older. If you’re under 18, you need a parent or guardian’s permission.
For Organizations
Can a school, nonprofit or program use Joygi?
Yes. We can explore a configured experience around your students and existing program. Contact Joygi to discuss the scope.
What is a configured experience?
A Companion shaped around an agreed population, program context, milestones or resources. The scope is planned with your team.
How does Joygi fit around our program?
Your program creates the moments. Joygi gives students private room to process what happens between them.
What can staff see?
Staff do not receive private Companion writing or Keepsake contents. Program administration is separate from private reflection.
What can reporting include?
Only the implementation or aggregate participation information explicitly agreed and disclosed for that experience. We do not offer staff inferred emotions or private-reflection profiles.
How do we explore a cohort?
Email hello@choosejoygi.com with your program, audience and timing. We will discuss what is feasible before agreeing scope or price.
Privacy & saved work
Does Joygi read what I write?
Your private Companion writing is saved locally in your browser on your device. Joygi does not intentionally collect those words or send them to analytics, advertising systems, organizations or AI.
Does AI read student reflection?
Joygi does not send your private Companion writing to AI for interpretation.
Where is my writing saved?
In this browser on this device. Signing in on another device does not bring private writing with you.
What does Joygi receive?
Account/access information and necessary technical information are separate from private writing. If you deliberately submit feedback, a support message or an Ambassador application, Joygi receives what you send.
What happens if I clear my browser?
Locally saved reflections and Keepsakes may be permanently lost. Joygi does not keep a copy, so it cannot restore them.
Can I move Joygi to another device?
Where your Companion offers a transfer control, you can save and import a private transfer file yourself. Account sign-in alone does not move your writing.
What should I know about shared devices?
Someone using the same browser may be able to access stored writing. Use a device you trust and review the local removal controls before sharing it.
Support
Can Joygi provide professional or urgent support?
Joygi is for reflection, not counseling or crisis support. If you need more, contact someone you trust or someone trained to help.
What if I need immediate support?
In the U.S., call or text 988 for suicide and crisis support. If you are in immediate danger, call local emergency services. Outside the U.S., use your local crisis or emergency service.
How do I contact Joygi?
Email hello@choosejoygi.com. Please do not include private reflection text or sensitive information we do not need to help.
